They can be said to be chainless Chain Chomps. In Super Mario World 2, they fall from the sky, and can can destroy the ground, making a big hole. They cannot with any attack be defeated. In Yoshi's Story they only appear in Jungle Hut. They move from side to side. If Yoshi is hit by one, the chomp will stop and laugh.
