A Flutter (also called Flying Wiggler) (Japanese version: Hanachan (ハナちゃん Hana-chan)) is a Wiggler butterfly found in W4-1: GO! GO! MARIO!!!!!. Some Flutters are found in the part after the last Superstar. In the Yoshi series, They are not found in any other game than Super Mario World 2 and not in any other level than World 4-1. In Tetris Attack the Flutter is presumably the female due to a flower in her head, as a reference of some of girls and women possibly.

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island

Flutters (Flying Wigglers) only appear in the level GO! GO! MARIO!! it flies forward in a wavy pattern jumping on it or throwing an egg at it will cause them to become angry and charge at Yoshi damaging him upon contact it can be defeated by a ground pound, turning them into an egg or Superstar Baby Mario when spat out it fly away with becoming angry.

Yoshi's New Island

Flutter makes a reappearance in this game it is only encountered in the level Ride the Blarggwich it flies up and down in a predetermined line although some behave like in their first appearance just like the Koopa Paratroopa it cannot be turned into an egg when jumped on it becomes enraged and charges at Yoshi.

Yoshi's Crafted World

Flutters make an appearance in the level Weighing Acorns in Yoshi's Crafted World, seen either flying above platforms or above the bus you ride on near the end of the level. Like in previous games, they can be made angry, but they will stop after a few seconds.
