Semisolid Platform
It has been requested that this article be rewritten and expanded to include more information. Reason: add Super Mario series information, specifically in installments that Yoshi appears in
Semisolid Platforms, spelled Semi-solid Platforms in Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS, are platforms found throughout the Super Mario series that players can jump on from the bottom. Semisolid Platforms first appear in Super Mario Bros. 2 for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Their design differs throughout their appearances, including for a few other spinoff series that it appears in, such as the Yoshi's Island series. Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island marks the first appearance of Semisolid Platforms in the series, let alone the Yoshi franchise. The Semisolid Platforms in the Yoshi's Island series typically resemble a straight bridge made up of circles, and it can also form slopes.
Mushroom Platforms are another type of Semisolid Platform. Like the regular ones, they appear in both the Super Mario series and Yoshi's Island series.
