A Pointey (also called a Spring Plant) is a enemy in the Yoshi series debuting in Yoshi's Island DS they are horsetail like creatures.

Pointeys first appear in Yoshi's Island DS they don't do any actual harm to Yoshi but they extend from the ground blocking his path often serving as an obstacle more than an enemy if he touches one they bounce him back they can be defeated by jumping on it, throwing an egg at them or using Baby Donkey Kong's dash attack.
