This video game is the first mainstream Mario game where Yoshi makes his debut. Yoshi appears in green, red, blue and yellow. Yoshi spawns from an egg at certain Random Blocks when Mario pounds one. The games also has a remake for the Game Boy Advance, titled Super Mario Advance 2. The Baby Yoshis also debuted in this game.

Story

Mario and Luigi find Yoshi after the Princess was kidnapped by Bowser in Dinosaur Land. The three go on a quest to rescue Yoshi's friends from the Koopalings and Princess Peach from Bowser. After Mario defeats him, the four plus the eggs travel back to Yoshi's house.
